How to use Linkday

Linkday works inside monday CRM. It does two things: it finds new leads and adds them to your board, and it fills in emails and mobile numbers for people already on your board.

Watch the one-minute tour

1. Set up Linkday

Setup takes about two minutes. An admin does it once for the whole monday account.

  1. Install Linkday from the monday apps marketplace, and add it to the workspace that holds your CRM boards.
  2. Open Linkday from the workspace's left sidebar, under Workspace apps. The first time, monday asks you to allow Linkday to read and update your boards. You approve it in the same window and come straight back.
  3. Choose your boards. Pick your Leads board, your Contacts board, or both, and the group new rows go into. Choosing Contacts also asks for your Accounts board, because monday links each contact to its company there.
  4. Check each board's columns. Linkday's AI reads your column names and proposes which column holds the name, company, email, mobile and so on. Correct anything it got wrong, then confirm. Nothing is written to a board until you confirm.
  5. You're done. The last screen, Linkday is ready, shows the two ways to use it, described below.

2. Find new leads

Searching is free and unlimited. Credits are spent only when you ask Linkday to find an email or mobile number.

  1. Open Linkday from the sidebar and go to the Find leads tab.
  2. Search by job title, seniority, company, industry, company size, where the person is based, and where the company is based.
  3. Tick the people you want.
  4. Click Add to board to add them as they are, or Add and enrich to add them with their work email, and their mobile number if you ask for it.
  5. Pick the board. Linkday shows who is already on it and skips them, and shows the most the run can cost before you confirm.

Scoring leads with AI

If you describe your ideal customer in Settings → Lead qualification, Linkday scores each person you select against that description before anything is charged. You can also:

  • list companies you never want to contact, so anyone who works there is removed;
  • set company rules, such as a size range, or industries and countries to leave out;
  • write the score and the reason for it onto the board, in two columns called Linkday lead score and Lead score reason.

Scoring spends no credits.

3. Enrich people already on your board

This works on your Leads and Contacts boards, from the board itself.

  1. Open your Leads or Contacts board.
  2. Select one or more rows with their checkboxes.
  3. In the bar that appears at the bottom of the screen, click Apps, then Linkday.
  4. Choose Find email, Find mobile, or both. Linkday shows the most the run can cost and how many credits you have left.
  5. Click Enrich. You can close the window while it runs. Results are written into your email and phone columns as they arrive.

Good to know

  • Existing values are kept. Linkday only fills empty cells, unless you switch on Overwrite for that run. The company name and website are never replaced.
  • A company website gives better results. If your rows have a company name but no website, click Suggest domains with AI. Linkday proposes each company's website and writes it only after you approve it.
  • Company details come at no extra cost. When Linkday finds a person, it also fills company details, such as industry and size, into any of those columns you have mapped.
  • You won't pay twice by accident. If a run on the same rows is already going, Linkday shows that run instead of starting a second one.

4. Credits and plans

Email found 1 credit
Mobile number found 10 credits
Nothing found Free. You only pay for what Linkday finds.
The same person again within 180 days Free, on any board, for anyone in your account.
  • Each plan includes a number of credits every month, plus monthly allowances for AI domain suggestions and lead scores. You can see your balance in the Linkday app under Settings, and in the enrich window.
  • Plans are billed through monday. To change plan, click Upgrade your plan in Linkday, or go to the app's page in the monday marketplace.

5. Your team, and who can do what

  • Admins set Linkday up and choose which boards and columns it uses.
  • Members can find leads and enrich rows once an admin has finished setup. The first time a teammate uses Linkday, monday asks them to approve access, in the same window.
  • Viewers cannot use Linkday, because monday does not let view-only users change boards.
  • Everyone in the account shares one credit balance. The Team tab shows who is using Linkday and how many leads and contacts each person has added.

6. Changing your setup later

  • To change which column holds what, open the Linkday app and go to the Mappings tab.
  • The Logs tab lists what Linkday has done: each person added or enriched, by whom, and whether it worked.
  • If you uninstall Linkday, your board and column settings are removed. Everything Linkday already wrote to your boards stays there.

7. What data leaves monday

  • To find an email or mobile number, Linkday sends the person's name, company name, company website and LinkedIn address to our data provider.
  • For AI features, Linkday sends only your column names, company names and your ideal-customer description. No emails, phone numbers or other board data are sent to the AI model.
  • Our Privacy Policy has the full detail.
